"Mental" is a darkly comedic, improvisational mockumentary set inside Happy Pines Mental Resort, a chaotic psychiatric hospital. When Laura, a sharp-tongued woman in her 40s, suffers a breakdown, she admits herself into the institution, beginning a surreal journey through its unpredictable world. Through handheld footage and confessional interviews, the series introduces a cast of deeply flawed yet human patients and staff. As lines blur between sanity and dysfunction, Mental explores trauma, identity, and resilience with satire and unexpected emotional depth.
